Team Rygor met together this week to take part a special end of year virtual Town Hall meeting, where this year’s Group Award winners were announced.

With 17 sites across the UK (and more than 600 team members) during 2024, in-person and virtual events such as the Town Hall have been utilised by our leadership team to ensure business messages are shared regularly; fostering impactful, two-way and collaborative communication.

Rygor’s Board; John, Rish, Sean, Kate, Tim, and Nick, were delighted to announce Rygor Group’s award-winning team members for 2024, who will officially recognised and rewarded at a special awards event on 9 January. In addition, this week’s meeting provided the opportunity to review an exciting and progressive 12-months for the business.

This year, Rygor been included on the prestigious list of the Top 250 privately-owned companies in the South-West and opened a brand-new dedicated Mercedes-Benz passenger car aftersales dealership in Heathrow.

Additionally, our Group achieved UK Best Workplace status for the second year running, was named both a UK Best Workplace for Wellbeing and a UK Best Workplace for Development, and has been officially certified as a Great Place to Work for the third year in a row.

We also launched Rygor Land Systems, designed to meet the evolving needs of the Military, Government, and Defence sectors, and as part of this venture, the business is proud to be sponsoring British Army Sports during 2025.

Sponsorship, partnerships and community spirit continue to play an important part in Team Rygor’s company culture, underpinned by Rygor’s commitment to being a rewarding, reliable and respectful business for its customers, and for its team.

During 2024, in addition to sponsoring British Army Sports, our business also invested in the communities close to its sites – planting five hectares of wildflower meadows in collaboration with Green the UK, and team members fundraised in support of Rygor’s Charities of the Year 2024 (Macmillan Cancer Support, MND Association, and Westbury Area Network). Team Rygor also continued its support of community football team, Grenfell Athletic FC this year.

Grenfell Athletic, a charity formed in the wake of the Grenfell fire, provides therapeutic support to members of its local community, through football. Rygor Auto (formally known as Rygor Commercials) has been in partnership with the club since 2023 – with the expert team at Rygor Auto Heathrow Van Centre providing free of charge vehicle maintenance, helping assist the team at Grenfell Athletic FC to continue the vital work they’re doing.

Aftersales Director, Sean Joyce said: “Since 2023, we’ve been pleased to provide our team’s expert service in support Grenfell Athletic FC, which does such incredible work in the local community and brings people together through the beautiful game. We share important core values with the team at Grenfell Athletic, respect being a key one. We really respect the work they do, and in partnership with Mercedes Benz Vans UK, we want to do what we can to keep the charity’s eVito on the road with expert maintenance, helping support the vital work the charity does.

“We’re looking forward to building on the great relationship between our two teams even further in 2025 – hopefully playing against them in another inter-team friendly. This year’s ‘Big Match’ was held in August and was great fun! Our teams met up to play 40 minutes each way, followed by a bite to eat. Meeting the Grenfell Athletic players was incredibly inspiring and although we were up against semi-pro players, I think Team Rygor held its own. Everyone had a brilliant day.”

“We played in full summer sun this year, so we’re hoping for a slightly cooler day in 2025… because that was the only reason we didn’t win!” joked Sean.

Rygor Managing Director, John Keogh, said: “At Rygor, we strive to provide exceptional customer service across all areas of our business, and we are committed to being a company where our team members love to work. We regularly go out to them and ask for their feedback, and our whole business virtual Town Halls are a direct result of what they told us was important to them – team spirit and great communication.

“We strive to continually enhance what we do. The business awards and certifications we’ve achieved in 2024 motivate us to continue pushing the boundaries of excellence in everything we do for our team. Things like the weekly fruit deliveries we supply to our sites; our reward and recognition programme which utilises our corporate box at Wembley, long service milestone events; the ‘just because’ treats (such as ice-cream vans, street food vans and of course, chocolate!) our award-winning wellbeing programme, investing in professional development, and organising team building events to say “thank you” to our incredible colleagues.

“We truly believe our amazing team is what sets us apart, and we’re really looking forward to recognising our award winners at January’s special event. As Rygor Group continues to develop through considered expansion and diversification, we remain committed to upholding our company values of being Rewarding, Reliable and Respectful, and maintaining our position as an industry leader,” John added.

From everyone at Rygor Group Ltd., we wish you a very Merry Christmas.
